Why should you become a Referee?  

Becoming a referee can be a rewarding experience; especially for young adults as they will grow in confidence, learn to command respect, and practice making decisive decisions.

More importantly, it's rewarding and working with kids is great fun!

Requirements for Becoming a Referee:

• Candidates between 12 and 14 years of age are able to participate in the Genesis Referee Program (offered by BYSA) previously known as Ref in Training. (Info found in following tab)
• Candidates who are 14 years of age or older are expected to create an account with Massachusetts Referee State Committee as well as the US Soccer Learning Center.  They will need to complete pre-requisites before taking an entry level course online.  After the course they will need to pass a test as well as safety supplemental courses before receiving certification. • Candidates should participate in pre and post season meetings.
