BYSA is seeking board members for the following positions:

Training and support for all positions will be provided as needed. 


Vice President [and NVYSL League Representative]

A voting Board level position

- Represent BYSA at NVYSL meetings (~4 per year)
- Assume President duties in the event that President is unable (or steps down)

Treasurer

A voting Board level position

- Collect check payments from PO Box and deposit
- Prepare Tax and Non-Profit filings (with help from CPA as needed)
- Manage budget and provide reports to Board members
- Pay invoices, approved expense reimbursements, and referees (not paid by NYVSL)

- Requires Excel skills and basic accounting knowledge

Registrar
A voting Board level position, the Registrar’s responsibilities involve overseeing player registration, representing BYSA as the town registrar for NVYSL. This position is a vital role within BYSA. Key activities include:
·         Setup of online registration programs at the BYSA website
·         Monitoring of online registrations
·         Complete and submit registration forms to NVYSL during pre-season
·         Complete and submit roster changes as required
·         Attend pre-season NVYSL meetings (usually one per season)
There are several data processing tasks involved with this position. This position needs good computer skills, Internet access and basic Microsoft Excel and Word skills.
Secretary [AKA Communications Manager]
A voting Board level position, the Secretary shall attend to all correspondence for BYSA, keep detailed minutes of all Board and general meetings, keep records as necessary, be responsible for public relations and correspond on the behalf of BYSA only with the knowledge and permission of the President.
This person’s primary responsibility is communicating BYSA issues to the public. Typical tasks include distributing e-mails to BYSA members via the website’s emailing functionality and posting announcements in the Bolton Common and school newsletters. 
This position needs good computer skills, Internet access and basic knowledge of Microsoft Word.
Field Manager
The Field Manager position is one of the most important to the players and parents. This person’s primary responsibly is insuring that all Bolton soccer fields are ready for play on game day. This involves weekly line painting, inspecting nets, insuring all sand bags are secure, and requesting repairs and new field equipment when necessary.   To accomplish these tasks, the Field Manager needs to recruit and organize volunteers for pre-season field setup and weekly line painting.

Assistant Referee Director
Assist the Referee Director in scheduling referees, monitoring referee performance, etc.  May require attending a Referee Assignor course (cost covered by BYSA).
