To find the game schedule for your team, you should check in one of two places.
Teams: Pre-K/K - Grades 1&2:
- The schedule is posted on the BYSA website on your teams "Schedule" tab. A map of the BYSA fields can be found here.
Teams: Grades 3/4 or above:
- The game schedules for these teams are set by the Nashoba Valley Youth Soccer League - and can be found in two ways.
- First way is to go to the "page for our club" on the NVYSL website and then follow the link to your team.
- Second way is to find your team on our BYSA website then click the "Schedule" tab on the right.
Thank you for taking the time to volunteer as a coach for the Bolton Youth Soccer Association! TO get you fully registered and prior to practices and/or games, you will need to perform the following steps below. Some of these steps can take time so the earlier you start, the better.
- Register as a Parent Volunteer within BYSA
- Register for the 2022-2023 season at Mass Youth Soccer (MYSA)
- Complete a background check (CORI)
- Complete concussion training
- Complete SafeSport training (harrassment prevention, Abuse prevention, etc.)
- Verification by BYSA Risk Manager
Once all procedures have been completed - the BYSA Risk Manager will hand out MYSA credentials that must be worn at practices and during games.
Step 1 - Register as a Volunteer at BYSA
- Go to www.boltonsoccer.net
- Click the "Register Online" button on the sidemenu
- Click the "Register >>" button under the "2022 Fall - Parent Volunteers" section.
- >Follow directions. You are now registered with the Bolton Youth Soccer Association.
Step 2 - Register for the 2022-2023 season at Mass Youth Soccer (MYSA)
ALL COACHES MUST REGISTER WITH MYSA FOR THE 2022-2023 SEASON. START BY GOING TO THIS LINK AND SELECTING "REGISTER NOW!" DETAILS ARE AT THE MYSA ADULT REGISTRATION PAGE AT THIS LINK.
If this is the first time you have coached or if you have NEVER registered with Massachusetts Youth Soccer Association then use this link to download step by step directions:
https://www.mayouthsoccer.org/assets/61/6/adult_registration_-_new_user_help_guide_07.2022_(1).pdf
If you have coached with our club before then you may already have registered with Massachusetts Youth Soccer Association. Use this link to download step by step directions:
https://www.mayouthsoccer.org/assets/61/6/adult_registration_-_returning_user_help_guide_07.2022.pdf
Before starting consider the following:
- If you have ever registered with Mass Youth Soccer in the past DO NOT MAKE A NEW ACCOUNT! It will require human intervention to fix the double entry and that will delay things. Use the password recovery option to re-gain access or call the help line.
- Do this on a computer; a tablet if you have to, but don’t try it with a phone!
- Have a good, face forward head shot (not your whole body) uploaded to your computer. NO HAT, NO SUNGLASSES, NO KIDS OR SPOUSES OR THEIR CROPPED BODY PARTS.
- USE THE NAME ON YOUR DRIVER’S LICENSE!
- Use the same email address for everything!
- Our organization’s name is: Bolton Youth Soccer Association
- This whole process will take around 4 hours. Most of the time will be spent on the SafeSport training. You can stop and start again later, just make sure to remember your passwords.
- No coaches will be allowed to interact with their teams until they have been CORI certified and completed both training certifications. No Coaching Credentials can be printed until these are complete.
- If you run into trouble try the help line phone number in the pdf directions. They are helpful. Also look at the FAQ: https://www.mayouthsoccer.org/assets/61/6/adult_registration_faq_2022.pdf
- You can email
or
if you need any assistance.
Step 3 - Complete the background check (CORI)
You start this process when you register with MYSA for the 2022-2023 season during step 2. CORI status is good for years. You can check your status by logging into MYSA at:
https://ma-adultinfo.affinitysoccer.com/
Select the "Applications" tab and confirm that you are risk approved.
Note: CORI's are specific to MYSA. CORI's obtained with other organizations or schools cannot be used.
Step 4 - Complete Concussion Training
You can verift your training status or take the training on the MYSA site by logging in at:
https://ma-adultinfo.affinitysoccer.com/
Select the "Certificates" tab and confirm whether you need to take the training or not.
Concussion training is good for two years. If your certification has expired, you will need to recomplete the training and upload your new certificate.
Step 5 - Complete SafeSport training
You can verify your training status or take the training on the MYSA site by logging in at:
https://ma-adultinfo.affinitysoccer.com/
Select the "Certificates" tab and confirm whether you need to take the training or not.
SafeSport training is good for five years but you generally have to perform a short Refresher Course each season.
Step 6 - Verification by BYSA Risk Manager
You will need to meet with Kate Cameron (
) with your license and the CORI print out. This is the last verification step in becoming a Volunteer. Once completed, welcome to the team!
Once you have been fully verified by the BYSA Risk Manager - you are fully ready to get started and interact with your team!
At the start of each season - We reccomend you send a "Welcome to the Team!" email to your team. (How to send a team email can be found under here) In this email you can introduce yourself and letting them know the basic information for the season.
Basic Information can include:
- Practice Times
- Usual Game Times
- What to bring (Cleats, Shin Gaurds, Soccer Ball, Water, etc)
- Best way to contact you
- Any other additional information they might benefit from
Once you have sent your email - you are ready to prepare for practice!
Feel free to check out some practice guides that might work for your team.
